Software-based dealer management systems are gaining in popularity as low cost user-friendly alternatives to more expensive management systems.  A good example of this typ of program is the Winboats dealer management program that Gainesville, GA. -based Seer Software technologies is producing.

Winboats introduces the Marine Accessories Vendor Program to allow dealerships easy access to aftermarket accessories.

Gainesville, GA – SEER Software Technologies, Inc. has just released version 3.13 of its Winboats Dealership Software package. The new release adds the support for the Marine Accessories Vendor Program, which allows suppliers of aftermarket products to supply their products in an electronic catalog that is directly compatible with the Winboats system.

Vendors involved in this program simply create their catalog in Winboats format and then it can be downloaded directly by Winboats dealers. The dealer can incorporate the information into a boat quotation with a click of their mouse, with the catalog options presented in the standard Winboats tree quotation format. The first manufacturer to participate in the Marine Accessories Program is Titan Wake Accessories, the premier manufacturer of wakeboard towers and tower accessories. The program allows Titan to offer their entire product line to dealers using the Winboats software. Both the dealers and the manufacturer benefit because it is extremely easy for the dealer to quote the equipment as they are preparing the boat quotation, which of course translates to better sales for both parties. Please note the example shown below of the quotation tree for the Titan Wake Accessories.

Gainesville, GA - SEER Software Technologies, Inc. has just released version 3.11 of its Winboats Dealership Software package. The new release adds the ability to track outboard engines and trailers as separate inventory items, and is available to all users of the software package. This new capability is another Winboats innovation to save the dealers time and help them keep track of inventory.

Previous versions of Winboats, like most software packages, combined the engines and trailers as part of the boat. This new version allows the dealer to handle it either way. Now they have the option to list all their engines and trailers in the Winboats Engine and Trailer views or continue to have them listed with the boats. The items can all be priced separately and added to or removed from any boat on the lot or any boat that has been sold. A unique feature of the new module is that the system tracks the engines and trailers even when they are assigned to a boat. This makes it simple for the dealer to locate stock from one simple view. Trailer creation has been greatly simplified because Winboats can use trailer data supplied by the boat manufacturer, aftermarket manufacturer or it has a built in trailer configuration utility to create trailers in the standard point and click Winboats quotation tree format, as shown below.
